For Most Jobs
TIME & MATERIALS
This is how we price the majority of our work—repairs, small installs, troubleshooting, and general service calls.
You Pay For:
- The actual time our licensed electrician spends on-site
- The real cost of materials used to complete your job
- A flat service charge (charged once per invoice—whether we fix one thing or five)
We're happy to give good-faith estimates over the phone based on what you describe.
There's no "We'll See When We Get There" approach. If we can give you a reasonable range, we will.

QUESTIONS
You pay for the actual hours worked and the actual materials used, nothing more. There is no inflated flat-rate price designed to cover a worst-case scenario we hope we never hit. Before we start any job, we walk you through what we expect the scope to be so you have a realistic picture of cost. If something changes mid-job, we tell you before we keep going.
For most residential jobs, we do a free site visit and talk through what you need before any money changes hands. Larger commercial or multi-phase projects may require a paid scoping visit. We will always be upfront about that before we come out.
Flat-rate pricing is built around the worst-case version of every job. Some customers prefer the predictability even if they end up paying more. Time and Materials pricing reflects what the job actually takes. For most jobs in the Twin Cities, our customers find that T&M ends up costing less than the flat-rate quotes they got elsewhere.
Emergency calls do carry a service rate that reflects the after-hours response. We will always tell you the rate before we send someone out, and we will never bury a surprise charge in the invoice. If you are smelling burning wire or sparks at midnight, cost is not the first thing you should be worried about.
Yes, every job gets a written invoice that breaks down labor and materials. You can see exactly where your money went. We keep records on file if you ever need documentation for insurance, resale, or a permit inspection.
